Victor Osimhen is looking forward to playing under new Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, Prompt News reports.
Eric Chelle was appointed the three-time African champions gaffer in January.
The Malian will meet majority of his players for the first time when they assemble early next week for a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Osimhen declared he can’t wait to start life under the new coach.
“I’ve spoken to him couple of times and clearly understand the objectives he has set for himself and for the players,” he told BBC Sports Africa.
The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in the qualifiers and sit in fifth position in Group C.
Osimhen said the players must give their all to secure a place at the World Cup.
“It takes more than a coach to win football matches. Players must also be at their best, show commitment and bear in mind that we can all fly together to reach our goal,” added the Galatasaray striker.
