Nestory Irankunda has said there is more to come from Australia at the FIFA World Cup 2026, Prompt News Online reports.
The Socceroos started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Turkey on Sunday morning.
Irankunda opened scoring for Australia in the keenly contested encounter.
“We knew what we were going to do and we know what we can do. That wasn’t our best performance, but we played to our limits, played as much as we could,”Irankunda told FIFA.com.
“We defended with our lives, we attacked with our lives. In the end, the result’s there, we scored some goals and we’re super excited.
“For the people that doubted us, there’s still plenty more to come.”
