England, Ghana and Portugal have all booked their places in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 before kicking a ball in their final group matches, Prompt News Online reports.
Paraguay and Senegal participation in knockout round has also been confirmed.
England, Ghana and Portugal have each reached four points, and thanks to results in Group H and Group F having shifted the qualifying threshold, that is now enough to guarantee progression.
Egypt sealed a place in the knockout stages after a thrilling 1-1 draw with Iran.
This scenario is significant under the format of newly expanded 48-team World Cup, where the top two teams in each group and the eight best third-placed teams advance to the knockout stage.
Paraguay will now face Germany in the Round of 32, Egypt will take on Australia, with England, Ghana and Portugal and Senegal’s opponents yet to be defined.
