Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has explained why she avoids discussing finances with romantic partners, saying she prefers to keep earnings private and expects the same from whoever she is dating.
Speaking on the Thanks For Coming podcast, Isime said she draws a firm line when it comes to conversations about money in relationships.
According to her, financial disclosure has never appealed to her, and she sees no reason to reveal how much she earns.
“I never discuss three things: my money, my money, my money. Tell a man how much I earn, never, for what,” she said.
“And I don’t want him to discuss his with me either. I don’t want to know how much he is earning.”
The actress also shared her views on trust and personal boundaries, revealing that she has no issue with her partner checking her phone but would never ask for access to his.
“I have no problem with him going through my phone but for what,” she said.
“I would never ask to check my man’s phone.”
Prompt News reports Isime also revisited comments she made last year about marriage, revealing that growing up, she was more focused on building a successful life than dreaming about weddings.
“You know when young girls used to sit down and daydream about getting married, I never did. I used to daydream about working and making my own money and being independent,” she said.

She added that if marriage eventually happens, the ceremony would reflect mutual decisions rather than a long-held fantasy.
“I fear that I might not even have my dream wedding because what is a dream wedding? Even if I get married, it would just be a wedding that we both agree on at the same time… If it is a big wedding, if we feel it, it’s fine. If it is a small wedding, whatever we feel.”
Despite those remarks, the actress had earlier this year told Morayo Afolabi-Brown that she is open to marriage and hopes to find a kind partner.
