Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, recently shared the reasons behind his decision to stop having a female secretary.
During a sermon, he revealed that his demanding work schedule, which often extends late into the night, prompted the change.
“From the moment I got to a stage where, at night, I still have to work, I ceased to have a female secretary. Some people think it is gender discrimination,” he explained.
Pastor Adeboye said the decision was motivated by concerns over the potential risks of being alone with members of the opposite gender during late hours. “I know who I was before Jesus saved my soul. I know the possibility of dangers being left alone at night with people of the opposite sex,” he added.
