Ekong who joined the club last summer from the Italia Serie A side, Udinese, was instrumental to the team getting back to the elite division after spending just one season in the lower division.
“It’s amazing. I can’t really put words to it now, I am really happy to be part of squad that return Watford to EPL said Eagles defender.
“It’s one of the best days in my life and in my career so far. We worked so hard for it and now we’ve done it, so I’m really pleased for all the boys.
“Credit to everyone from the backroom staff, to the media staff, to the manager, to all the physios, to the owner, to everyone. It’s amazing and it’s been a team effort,” he said.
“A lot of the time when you have a relegation it’s difficult to pick yourselves up. Everyone at the club did amazing job to give us the best chance and now we’re here, so we’re all really happy”.
“I always follow Watford matches in the lower league due to my friend and brother Ekong. I am really happy for him for being part of the party that return Watford back to the summit. I know the club will be a title contender in the EPL next football season,” said Ahmed Musa.
