Nigeria’s Super Falcons will begin their quest for a place at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against Benin Republic or Sierra Leone.
The draw for the qualifiers took place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday.
The second round will take place in October, 2025.
Benin Republic and Sierra Leone will clash in the first round in February 2025.
The winner of the two-legged tie will qualify for WAFCON 2026 which will be hosted by Morocco.
The competition will also serve as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The top four teams from WAFCON 2026 will qualify for Brazil 2027.
The Super Falcons are nine-time champions of the competition.
