Nigeria’s Super Falcons arrived in Rabat, Morocco on Saturday afternoon ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News Online reports.
The nine-time African champions travelled from their training base in Casablanca, where they spent the last 10 days putting the finishing touches to their preparations for the competition.
The players looked relaxed and full of confidence on arrival, stepping off the team bus in matching green-and-white tie-dye traditional outfits, complemented by elegantly styled headwraps that reflected Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
Justine Madugu’s side head into the tournament on the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars in their final warm-up game on Thursday.
The Super Falcons will play all three of their Group C matches in Rabat, beginning with Tuesday’s clash against tournament debutants Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium.
They will return to the same venue to face Zambia’s Copper Queens before wrapping up their group-stage campaign against Egypt’s Cleopatras at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Nigeria remain the most successful side in WAFCON history and will be determined to successfully defend the title they won two years ago while strengthening their legacy as Africa’s dominant force in women’s football.
