Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is relishing the prospect of another tough battle against Zimbabwe ahead of Tuesday night’s Unity Cup semi-final clash in London, Prompt News Online reports.
Nigeria will face the Warriors at the Valley, with the winner advancing to the final of the invitational tournament, where either Jamaica or India await.
The Super Eagles and Zimbabwe played out draws in their last two meetings, and Chelle expects nothing less than a fiercely contested encounter once again.
The Malian tactician admitted his side must be at their best to overcome the Warriors and book a place in the final.
“Zimbabwe is a great team, a great team with strong players. If you want to talk about our last game, you need to talk not only about the result. Because if you see the result, you will not believe. But if you watch the game, we were supposed to win the game by at least 98 percent,” Chelle told a press conference in London on Monday.
“Definitely, Zimbabwe is a great team. They come with a lot of motivation. They want to win.”
