Ademola Lookman is set for a return to his hometown of London after being included in Atletico Madrid’s squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg against Arsenal, Prompt News reports.
The Super Eagles forward had raised fitness concerns following discomfort in his abductor during the recent Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
Despite that, Lookman completed the full 90 minutes in last week’s first-leg clash, which ended 1-1.
The 28-year-old was close to scoring twice in the keenly contested encounter.
The winger was among several key players rested during Atletico’s 2-0 victory over Valencia over the weekend, suggesting he is being managed ahead of the decisive encounter.
He is looking to join the exclusive list of Nigerians, who have won the Champions League in the past.
