Nigeria’s Falconets will be without Janet Akekoromowei for the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup third qualifying round tie against Senegal, Prompt News reports.
Akekoromowei sustained an injury in the first half of the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta last Saturday.
The Falconets won 1-0 courtesy of Kindness Ifeanyi’s second half strike.
The Bayelsa Queens striker will not recover in time for the second leg billed to take place in Dakar on Saturday.
Nigeria need at least a draw to advance into the final qualifying round.
The Falconets have participated in every edition of the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
