Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade, working alongside operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), have arrested four persons suspected of collaborating with terrorist groups in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The arrests were made during a joint security operation based on credible intelligence linking the suspects to terrorist related activities in the area.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out at about 12:11 p.m. on Monday at Light Hotel along the Odumo Kabba Road, where the suspects were apprehended without resistance.
A security update shared by counter insurgency analyst Zagazola Makama on Tuesday disclosed that the coordinated operation was executed by troops stationed at the Kabba Patrol Base in collaboration with DSS personnel.
The report stated that the four suspects have been transferred to the Department of State Services for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Security officials said the operation forms part of sustained efforts to dismantle terrorist support networks, disrupt criminal activities and strengthen security across Kogi State and neighbouring communities.
