Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has hit back at a social media critic after they made remarks about her son, Jamil Balogun, from her previous marriage to Tunji Teebillz Balogun.
The controversy started when the critic posted a video on X showing Savage and her son dancing, captioning it, “Omo, why is Tiwa Savage’s Son frowning.”
Savage responded sharply, emphasizing that while critiques of her career are expected, her child is off-limits. She wrote, “@TheDamiForeign you see that I never cared about your paid agenda to bring me down and you’ve been doing it for a long time. You talking about my child is crossing the line. Dami with my FULL CHEST e no go better for you. You even posted that you wanted me to die young…. Back to sender.”
The singer also criticized the critic’s misplaced focus, adding, “the obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”
