Alex Iwobi insists Nigeria can win the title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Morocco.
The Super Eagles will look to win a fourth title when hostilities begin in the North African country in December.
The West Africans fell at the last hurdle the last time going down to a 2-1 defeat against hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final.
Iwobi is however adamant they can emerge champions this time around.
“To win the AFCON, we were close the last one, we want to win the next,” he told Chinansa Anukam, hostess of the podcast Is this seat taken.
The Super Eagles are drawn in Group C with former champions Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania of Morocco 2025.
Éric Chelle’s side will take on the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their opening fixture in Fez on Tuesday, December 23.
