Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, has dismissed circulating claims that the governor consulted a native doctor about his re-election, calling the allegations entirely false.
In a statement, Aburime explained that the video clip fueling the rumors was taken during an official meeting between the governor and Anambra-based content creators. He emphasized that the video was maliciously misrepresented.
“The session was organized to foster collaboration between the state government and the creative industry as part of Governor Soludo’s efforts to support Anambra’s creative economy,” Aburime said.
He added that during the event, one content creator performed a native doctor skit — a popular comedic genre in Nigerian entertainment — to showcase their talents.
This was strictly an entertainment performance, not a native doctor consultation.
Aburime expressed disappointment that critics and political opponents would distort this innocent performance to spread false information and mislead the public.
“Governor Soludo’s focus remains on tangible investments to develop Anambra’s creative sector, as demonstrated by projects like the recently launched SOLUTION FUN CITY,” he said.
According to Aburime, the governor relies on the people’s support, earned through his effective governance and the delivery of the Solution Agenda, rather than any supernatural consultations.
