Show promoter Sam Larry has spoken publicly about the controversial video showing him confronting late singer Mohbad, describing the incident as a misunderstanding.
In an interview with online activist VeryDarkMan, Sam Larry stated that the video, which resurfaced following Mohbad’s death, captured only a brief moment of what he claimed was a simple demand for a refund—not harassment.

“That video was just 9 seconds. I was with my son at the beach. When I saw Mohbad, I walked up to him and demanded my money for a show he didn’t show up for. Zlatan was there and quickly stepped in to resolve it. There was no assault, I’ve never touched Mohbad all my life,” he said.
He further dismissed claims that he was in Nigeria at the time of Mohbad’s death in September 2023, noting that he was in Dubai, while his associate, Naira Marley, was in Amsterdam.
Sam Larry also addressed the silence of rapper Zlatan Ibile over the incident, alleging that Zlatan had been warned to stay out of the matter.
“Zlatan say if hin talk, say blood go comot for hin mouth,” he added.
