Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger is hopeful Umar Sadiq will bounce back stronger from his injury setback.
Sadiq is set to miss out on the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign after copping an injury in Real Sociedad’s 2-1 loss to Getafe on Sunday night.
The Nigeria international was diagnosed with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament on Monday after a scan was carried out by the club.
Rudiger, who was Sadiq’s teammate during their time at Serie A club, AS Roma has wished his old friend quick recovery from the injury.
“Stay strong my brother, Almighty knows why. Comeback stronger,” Rudiger posted on Instagram.
The 25-year-old joined Real Sociedad from Almeria on transfer deadline day.
He scored on his debut for the White and Blue against Atletico Madrid.
