El-Kanemi Warriors defeated Abia Warriors 2-0 to win the 2024 Nigeria President Federation Cup on Saturday.
It was the first time the Maiduguri club will be winning the title in 32 years and their third overall.
Nasiru Salisu scored both goals for the Borno Army.
Salisu missed a penalty for El-Kanemi in the ninth minute with Abia Warriors goalkeeper Ali Ishaku saving his kick.
The forward atoned for the miss when he converted from inside the box 10 minutes before the break.
Salisu put the game beyond their opponent on 68 minutes. READ ALSO:

Aliyu Zubairu’s side went home with a prize money of N50m and will also compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
