Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, was at the centre of a heated scene during an Easter event in the Agbado area of Lagos, after a video of the altercation surfaced online.
In the viral clip, the singer is seen wearing a white sweatshirt and carrying a school bag while engaging in a tense exchange with a group of young men reportedly from the area. The individuals were said to have tried to stop him from performing at the show.
Portable appeared visibly agitated as he questioned why he was being prevented from going on stage, while also alleging that one of the youths had physically touched him.
“I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication,” is unrelated; instead, keep the original quotes from earlier? Wait — we should keep quotes from Portable but none are provided. So no quotes to include.
Several people, including a man dressed in a soldier’s uniform, attempted to de-escalate the situation as tensions rose at the venue. However, the disagreement continued to intensify.
At one point, the singer removed his clothing and moved aggressively toward those involved, further escalating the confrontation. The reason behind the disruption to his performance remains unclear.
