Super Falcons duo, Ashleigh Plumptre, and Rasheedat Ajibade has been included in the group stage Best X1 at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.
The selection was compiled by the technical study group (TSG) of the competition.
Plumptre has featured in two games at the competition, while captain Ajibade has made three appearances.
Plumptre has impressed with her composure and defensive solidity on the left.
Ajibade has provided driving runs, and technical finesse, linking midfield and attack with ease.Banyana Banyana of South Africa head coach Desiree Ellis was named best coach of the group stage.

• Defenders: Ashleigh Plumptre (Nigeria), Bambanani Mbane (South Africa), Lushomo Mweemba (Zambia), Fikile Magama (South Africa)

• Forwards: Racheal Kundananji (Zambia), Barbra Banda (Zambia), Nguenar Ndiaye (Senegal)
