Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has started a 100-hour challenge of repeatedly writing and mentioning the name of YouTube sensation MrBeast.
In a post shared on Instagram, the former Big Brother Naija winner said the challenge, which began on August 2, is a personal mission designed to test her discipline, consistency, resilience and determination.
Phyna stressed that although the challenge was inspired by MrBeast, it was never intended to pressure him into acknowledging her or create any sense of obligation.
She added that while she would appreciate any recognition from the global content creator, completing the challenge remains her primary focus.
“I, OTABOR JOSEPHINA, wish to officially clarify the purpose of my ongoing 100 Hours Challenge, which commenced on Saturday, 2nd August 2026, at exactly 11:00 AM. This challenge, centred around writing the name ‘MrBeast’, is a personal initiative undertaken for self-discipline, personal growth, consistency, resilience, and to push beyond my perceived limits,” she wrote.
“It is a commitment to improving myself through dedication and perseverance. While the challenge is inspired by MrBeast’s remarkable impact and influence, it is not an attempt to demand attention, seek entitlement, or place any obligation on him.
“Rather, it is a personal journey of growth and determination. Should MrBeast happen to notice, recognise, or acknowledge this effort in any way, it would be deeply appreciated and regarded as an added blessing to the initiative.
“However, such recognition is not the primary objective of the challenge. I sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported, encouraged, and followed this journey. Your motivation continues to fuel my determination to complete the challenge successfully.”
In a separate post, Phyna revealed that the idea was inspired by a similar stunt carried out by MrBeast nearly a decade ago, when he repeatedly mentioned fellow YouTuber Logan Paul’s name.

“MrBeast has done something similar before. He mentioned Logan Paul’s name 100,000 times, so that’s another reason I decided to do it for him. He did it nine years ago, and no one has done it again since then, so I thought I’d do the same for him,” she said.
Born Jimmy Donaldson, MrBeast uploaded a video titled Saying Logan Paul 100,000 Times in 2017. The challenge lasted about 17 hours and six minutes and has since attracted more than 23 million views.
Explaining the motivation behind the video, MrBeast said it was part of his early efforts to grow his platform.
“It’s the peak of my hustle. I would do anything at the time,” he said.
