The Northern Emancipation Network has said its members have resolved to pitch tent with former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi in the ongoing battle for control of the People’s Democratic Party.
A statement issued in Abuja and signed by the Group’s Director General, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman said its members have followed the recent events around the PDP and resolved to throw their weight behind Makarfi’s move to reposition the PDP for future electoral successes.
“We are sufficiently convinced that Senator Makarfi possesses the political wherewithal and willingness to steer the PDP to reclaim power and restore its lost glory.
“Consequently, we have resolved to team up behind him in the task ahead as we have an abiding confidence in his political finese and wizardry critical for the revival of the PDP,” Suleiman said.
The Group said it has since sent a message of solidarity to the former Governor.
