Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh is optimistic the Super Falcons will bounce back when they face Spain in their second group game at the 2024 Olympic Games on Sunday.
The Super Falcons lost their first game in the women’s football event 1-0 to Brazil on Thursday night.
Prompt News recalls that Gabi Nunes scored the winning goal for Brazil in the first half.
Enoh praised the Super Falcons for their performance and has tipped Randy Waldrum’s side to get a good result against Spain.
“The next match against Spain, the World Cup champion will be daunting, but not insurmountable,” Enoh said after the game.
“It wasn’t a bad game (vs Brazil).
“We could have been a goal or two up before Brazil scored their goal.”
Spain lead Group C with three points having scored more goals than Brazil, while Nigeria and Japan are without points. READ ALSO:
