Oyo State government has commenced the issuance of promotion letters to 2,166 eligible civil servants who were promoted in 2021, an official said on Wednesday in Ibadan.

The Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, indicated in a statement that the beneficiaries have been receiving the promotion letters since Monday.

He added that they cut across all ministries, departments and agencies in the state.

Aderibigbe disclosed also that the state governor had also approved the year 2022 conversion of 688 officers into various cadres in the state civil service.

“I am confident that Gov. Seyi Makinde is poised to ensure that all civil and public servants are taken care of, and will continue to take the well-being of workers as great priority,” he said,

The commission chairman, while congratulating the workers, charged them to reciprocate the governor’s magnanimous gesture by putting in their best in the discharge of their duties for better service delivery.(NAN)
