Renowned Fuji icon Saheed Osupa has reacted angrily to a prophecy allegedly foretelling his death, dismissing the claim as false and dangerous.
The controversy began after a Nigerian cleric, widely known as Alpha Olopa Meta, claimed that the veteran singer would die on January 10, 2026.
The cleric reportedly said he had prayed for Osupa and advised him to offer a large ram as part of spiritual intervention.
Osupa addressed the issue publicly during a live stage performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, warning against spreading what he described as harmful prophecies.
“Fake Alpha and prophet please don’t wish me dead. Everyone who wishes me dead will die in my place,” he told the audience.
