Victor Osimhen has appreciated Emmanuel Amunike for his role in his development as a player.
Osimhen was crowned the best player on the continent for 2023 at the CAF Awards in Marrakech on Monday night.
“Thank you God for everything. Special thanks goes to Emmanuel Amunike without him I don’t think I would be here receiving this award,”Osimhen declared.
” I appreciate Nigeria, and Africa for the encouragement over the years.
“Drogba is my role model. I love you all.”
The 24-year-old is the first Nigerian to win the award since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999.
