Paul Onuachu was the hero as Trabzonspor defeated Konyaspor 2-1 to win the Turkish Cup final on Friday night.
The triumph marked the Black Sea Storm’s 10th Turkish Cup title.
Fresh from finishing as joint-top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig for the 2025/26 season, Onuachu opened the scoring in the 18th minute after being set up by right-back Wagne Pina.
Konyaspor fought back after the break, with DR Congo forward Jackson Muleka levelling the score five minutes into the second half.
Enis Bardhi then missed a golden opportunity to put Konyaspor ahead when he failed to convert from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.
Nigeria international Chibuike Nwaiwu was also in action for Trabzonspor in the thrilling encounter.
Trabzonspor made the miss count, as Onuachu calmly converted a late penalty 11 minutes from time to seal victory for his side.
