Hellas Verona striker Gift Orban was involved in a post-match confrontation with a fan outside the Stadio Bentegodi after the club’s 1-0 loss to AC Milan on Saturday evening, Prompt News reports.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the forward, visibly frustrated by the result, refused a supporter’s request for a photograph.
The situation quickly escalated, with Orban stepping out of his vehicle to engage in a heated exchange.
The fan reportedly struck the player’s car with an open hand during the altercation.
Authorities are now reviewing the incident, with Italy’s public order police unit, Digos, already on the scene to carry out investigations.
Orban joined Verona on loan from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim last summer and has recorded seven goals and three assists in 28 league appearances for the club.
His performances have attracted interest from teams keeping close tabs on emerging talents in the division.
