On Monday, Nigerian pastor and renowned gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey performed at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.
The event, which was non-governmental and non-political, was organized by Reverend Merrie Turner following the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance as the 47th President and Vice President of the United States.
Bassey was invited to minister at the gathering, where he delivered a powerful performance of his song Take the Stage.
His moving rendition captured the audience, as he used his music to offer a prayer for divine guidance over the White House and sought God’s glory to shine upon the nation.
Famous for his Hallelujah Challenge, Nathaniel Bassey is a pastor, trumpeter, and songwriter with a global fan base.
He shared that Reverend Turner reached out to him after a moment of prayer, explaining that God had directed her to invite him to “release His glory over the United States.”
