Newcastle United are planning a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface.
Boniface has earned plaudits for his impressive start in the German top-flight.
The Nigerian linked up with Die Werkself from Belgian Pro League club Union St Gilloise this summer.
The striker has scored seven goals in seven Bundesliga outings for Die Werkself.
The 22-year-old has so far contributed nine goals and two assists in 10 appearances across all competitions for Xabi Alonso’s side.
Boniface won the Bundesliga Player of the Month award in August.
He also scooped the Rookie of the Month prize for August and September.
According to The Sun, Newcastle United scouts watched him play in Portugal for Nigeria in the friendly against Saudi Arabia last weekend.
Boniface impressed in the game, causing problems in the Saudi’s backline which forced an own-goal. READ ALSO:
