Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle says his team’s mission is to win the title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Prompt News reports that the West Africans will compete with Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania in Group C.
Nigeria came close to winning a fourth title at AFCON 2023, going down to a 2-1 defeat to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final.
Chelle has backed his team to go a step further this time around.
“Yes, it’s going to be difficult to win because there are 24 very good teams and some very good coaches,” the Malian told Cafonline.
“I know I’ve got a team that’s out for revenge, and I’m out for revenge too, so we’re going to have a lot of fun.
“We know what this team is capable of, and our goal is clear—to lift the trophy in Morocco.”
The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in Fez on Tuesday, December 23.
