May Edochie, estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has formally accused her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, of cyberbullying, defamation, and cyberstalking.
In a cease-and-desist notice sent through her counsel, Graylaw Partners, May alleged that Ugwuonye has repeatedly made damaging social media posts about her.
Her legal team stressed that his conduct went far beyond defamation, describing it as harassment and calculated ridicule that also put her at risk.

“These posts are a calculated assault on our client’s reputation and have further imperiled her safety through malicious threats and false allegations. Beyond your own publications, you have incited third parties to amplify these communications, causing her severe and irreparable harm,” the notice read.
The letter outlined May’s demands, which include an immediate halt to the publications, a retraction of all previous posts, and a public apology across Ugwuonye’s platforms.
She is also requesting ₦1 billion in damages as compensation for the harm she claims to have suffered.
Her lawyers warned that failure to comply could lead to further legal action.
