Nura, a resident of Fagge Quarters in Kano, was charged by the police with causing grievous bodily harm.
Prompt News reports that he pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him in court.
Presiding Judge Umar Lawal-Abubakar directed that the defendant be held at the Goron Dutse Correctional Centre until April 15, when sentencing will take place.
According to the prosecution counsel, Zahradeen Abubakar, the case was reported by the victim, Haruna Kasim, at the Fagge Police Station on February 28.
The incident reportedly occurred following an argument between the two neighbours concerning electricity charges, during which Nura stabbed Kasim in the back with a pair of scissors.
