The Lagos State Police Command has pledged to provide adequate security and ensure a peaceful atmosphere across the state during the Easter celebrations.
In a statement released on Friday, the command said it has deployed officers to key areas, including known crime hotspots and vulnerable locations, to prevent any criminal activity and reassure residents and visitors alike.
Police Commissioner Olohundare Jimoh emphasized that the deployment aims to eliminate fears of insecurity and ensure a smooth Easter celebration.
The police will pay special attention to churches, event venues, and recreational centres where large gatherings are expected.
The command also stated that it will work in coordination with other security and emergency agencies to maintain order throughout the holiday period.
Residents have been encouraged to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
