The Kogi State governorship election petitions tribunal on Tuesday, ruled that former Kogi state Governor, Idris Wada, lacks locus standi to challenge the election of Yahaya Bello as the Governor of Kogi state.
Wada, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had asked the tribunal to declare him winner of the Kogi State governorship election.
He anchored his prayers on the fact that Mr Bello was not qualified to be declared winner as he did not have a running mate then.
But in her ruling, Justice Halima Mohammed dismissed the petition for being incompetent.
According to the Judge, Idris Wada, never participated in the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC that fielded Bello, hence, not competent to challenge his nomination.
