            Adedayo Adeyeye

President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded the names of a former Governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, a former governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Adedayo Adeyeye and two others to the Senate for screening and confirmation as ministers.

The other two nominees according to President Goodluck Jonathan’s letter read at plenary on Wednesday by Senate President David Mark are: Dr Abdul Bulama (Yobe) and Dr Stephen Oru (Delta).

“In accordance with section 147 sub section 2 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, I have the honour to forward the under listed ministerial nominees for consideration for senate confirmation, ” the letter reads in part.

Meanwhile, nomination for Kwara State is yet to be made. Prompt News recalls that the fresh nomination was sequel to the vacancies created by the resignation of the former ministers of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe (Delta); Police Affairs, Caleb Olubolade (Ekiti), and Finance, Yerima Ngama, on the ground that they wanted to pursue governorship ambitions in their respective states.
