Veteran Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle has taken a moment to reflect on her early days in the industry, sharing a throwback photo from her first major Nollywood project.
The actress posted the image on Instagram, revealing it was sent to her by a colleague. The photo is from the 2006 film Sitanda, which she described as her official entry into the Nigerian movie industry.

The film is SITANDA, the fruit of @amstelmalta’s first foray into Nollywood, directed by Izu Ojukwu,” she wrote.
Sitanda was a critical success at the time and earned 11 nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), marking a significant milestone for the actress.

“It went on to be a roaring success and was nominated in 11 categories at the AMAA awards,” she added.
Reflecting on her career so far, the ex-wife of actor Patrick Doyle described her journey as both rich and eventful.
“My journey is certainly diverse and colourful!” she wrote, signing off with hashtags like #ChroniclesOfAWorkingActor, #30YearsInTheGame, and #AfricasFinest.
