The Imo House of Assembly on Tuesday screened and confirmed additional two commissioner-nominees, whose names were sent by Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two nominees are Mr Jerry Egemba from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area and Mr Ignatius Nwabueze from Oru West.
The two brought to 23, the total number of commissioner-nominees whose names were sent to the assembly by Uzodinma.
NAN reports that 21 commissioner-nominees were screened and confirmed by the assembly about two week ago.
The Speaker, Mr Chike Olemgbe (APC-Ihitte Uboma), said at a plenary session of the assembly in Owerri that the additional two nominees were screened during an executive session of the lawmakers.

The Majority Leader of the Assembly, Mr Kanayo Onyemaechi (APC Owerri West), moved the motion for confirmation of the nominees and was seconded by the member representing Owerri Municipality, Mr Clinton Amadi (LP).
NAN reports that the nominees were introduced by the representatives of their constituencies, after which they were screened and confirmed.
The Speaker, who ruled in favour of the confirmation, directed the Clerk, Mrs Chinelo Emeghara, to convey the decision of the lawmakers to the governor. (NAN)
