Music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has stated that he has never accepted payment from artistes or filmmakers to promote their projects.
The Mavin Records boss made the clarification after sharing a comedy skit on Tuesday featuring Nollywood actor Itele, in which the actor jokingly tied him up and forced him to promote the forthcoming movie, Black Market.
Reacting to the clip on X, a user identified as Oba Tai Oshomo suggested that Don Jazzy only promoted the film because he had been paid.
“Don Jazzy fit do anything for money,” the user wrote.
Responding, the music executive dismissed the claim, insisting that he supports entertainment projects without charging for publicity.
“Nobody in the entertainment space has ever paid me a dime for promo oo. You think say I be Don for mouth. The Don’s blessings na free bro,” he wrote.
Prompt News reports Black Market is a forthcoming Nollywood production that is set to attempt a Guinness World Records title for the largest film screening in a single location.
