The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has commenced the release of results for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, providing a simple SMS procedure for checking scores.
The board disclosed that results of candidates who participated in the examination on Thursday would be made available from Friday night, as part of its phased release process.
In a statement shared by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, candidates were advised to strictly adhere to the approved method to access their results without complications.
According to the examination body, candidates are to send “UTME RESULT” or “UTMERESULT” in capital letters via SMS to either 55019 or 66019.
The board stressed that the request must be sent using the exact phone number used during registration, warning that results would not be delivered if a different number is used.
JAMB noted that over 2.2 million candidates are expected to participate in this year’s examination nationwide, underscoring the need for compliance with the guidelines to ensure seamless access to results.
