Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has responded to his decision not to feature Victor Osimhen against Gaziantep, Prompt News reports.
The 26-year-old was not included in Galatasaray’s matchday squad for their opening game of the season against Gaziantep.
Buruk said the forward is not ready after arriving late for pre-season training.
“Osimhen had a five- or six-day training period,” Buruk said as per CNN Turk.
“Playing here during that period could have been risky for him. I spoke to him about this. He said he was thinking of resting up this match and at getting some playing time for the next one.”
