Victor Osimhen is in line to return from injury ahead of schedule, according to Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk.
Osimhen has been sidelined since sustaining an arm injury in the UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool three weeks ago.
The striker was initially expected to be sidelined until the end of the month.
Buruk has how hinted that the powerful forward could make a swift return from the injury.
“Osimhen has started running again. It will be difficult for him to return this weekend, but I think he could be included in the squad for the Gençlerbirliği match we’ll play the following week if conditions are right,” Okan told reporters.
“We might even skip that and consider using him in the Fenerbahçe match instead.”
Galatasaray managed to beat Göztepe 3-1 in the Nigeria international’s absence on Wednesday.
