Nottingham Forest head coach Vitor Pereira hopes Ola Aina will be fit to face Chelsea in Monday’s Premier League clash at the Stamford Bridge, Prompt News reports.
Aina limped off the pitch during Forest’s Europa League 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at the City Ground on Thursday night.
There were fears the Nigeria international would be ruled out for the rest of the season due to the injury.
Pereira is however optimistic the full-back will be available for the game.
“I said to him (Aina), I’m sorry but it’s impossible for you to be injured! He said he will be in the right condition, and I hope he will,” Pereira told the club’s official website.
The 29-year-old has featured in 18 Premier League games for Forest this season, providing one assist.
The Tricky Trees, who are battling to escape the drop need a positive result against Chelsea.
