Ex- Super Falcons Coach, Mabo thumbs up NFF on preparations

Despite the 3-0 loss to Norway in the first match of the 8th FIFA Women’s World cup final in France, former Head Coach of the Super Falcons, Alhaji Ismaila Mabo has commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the quality preparations given to the team ahead of the competition in France.
Speaking exclusively from his base in Jos, Mabo opined that the Super Falcons received quality preparations which had not been given to the previous squads going to World Cup.
According to the former senior national team, Green Eagles player, “the Super Falcons in France have everything going for them, they got good preparations and good support from the NFF so I believe they will not disappoint Nigerians”.

Said he, ” I am very pleased with the present board of NFF. They have given meaning to women’s football by providing all that the team required. The team has been playing top friendly matches so I don’t have any doubt that they will justify the huge investment in the team by the NFF”.
Mabo whose records of taking the Super Falcons to the Women’s World Cup quarter final in 1999 in USA and two Olympic Games outing in Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 have not been met by any other coach is praying for the team to achieve even more success now than previously obtained.
“Infact, when I discovered that people like Mr. Harry (Awurumibe) is in the NFF Iam happy because he is well informed and has passion in the game to advice the President better. I doff my cap for the NFF “, Mabo concluded.
