EFCC Chairman, Bawa Slumps in Abuja, Rushed to Hospital

The Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, has confirmed that its chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, was involved in an incident today (Thursday) in Abuja and was rushed to hospital for attention.

Mr. Bawa was said to have slumped at a programme at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The EFCC boss who was giving a speech could not continue, walked off the stage and slumped.

He was rushed out of the hall in company of Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.

Confirming the incident, EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement titled “ is hale and hearty.”

“This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.

“He has since received attention and is due back at his desk.”
