The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced announcement of the Edo governorship election results from the local government areas.
Though, 14 candidates are jostling to be governor, it is however obvious that it’s a straight fight between the incumbent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Godwin Obaseki and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In the results officially declared so far by INEC, Governor Obaseki is in early lead as shown below:
