The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced announcement of the Edo governorship results from the .

Though, 14 candidates are jostling to be governor, it is however obvious that it’s a straight fight between the incumbent and candidate of the , PDP, Governor Godwin Obaseki and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In the results officially declared so far by INEC, Governor Obaseki is in early lead as shown below:
