Nigerian music star Simisola Kosoko, better known as Simi, has hit a major career milestone as her chart-topping single ‘Duduke’ earns a Gold certification in New Zealand for surpassing 15,000 unit sales — her first-ever international recognition.
Originally released in 2022, ‘Duduke’ became an instant anthem of love and motherhood, symbolizing Simi’s heartbeat for her unborn child. The accompanying music video, which showed her proudly showcasing her baby bump, deeply resonated with fans across the world.

“Referring to my daughter as ‘Duduke’ isn’t offensive, but I prefer they call her by her name,” she said.
