Russian club CSKA Moscow have been handed an 18-month transfer ban by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) for the move involving Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke.
Ejuke was transferred to the Red and Blues from Eredivisie outfit, SC Heerenveen in 2000.
CSKA are however yet to pay the entire transfer fee.
After complaints by Heerenveen, FIFA has decided to ban CSKA from signing new players until 2026.
Prompt News reports that the ban will however be lifted once CSKA pay the €3m fee.
The 26-year-old left CSKA on a free transfer this summer following a four-year stint at the club.
The 26-year-old is currently on the books of Spanish club, Sevilla.
