Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Ogunmodede is in buoyant mood ahead of the team’s 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana.
The perennial rivals will battle for a place at the biennial competition this month.
Ghana have stopped Nigeria from qualifying for the competition twice in the past.
Ogunmodede is however optimistic they will get things right this time around.
“We are not thinking about the past, what is important now is the present and also looking at the future. We all know what is at stake including the players,” he told the Super Eagles media.
” We are giants of Africa, we know what it means to us to play at the CHAN.
“Ghana will have the confidence they knocked us out twice in the past. I think things will be different this time around.”
The first leg will hold at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 14.
The reverse fixture is slated for the Godswill Akpabio international Stadium, Uyo a week later.
